Quality education since 2003
The establishment process of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Giresun University was initiated by the decision of Karadeniz Technical University Senate, dated September 28, 2001, numbered 173. In accordance with this decision, the proposal to establish a Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Giresun province was approved by the General Assembly of the Council of Higher Education in April 2002.
This proposal was finalized by the Council of Ministers decision dated March 26, 2003, and came into force upon publication in the Official Gazette with the Presidential approval on April 9, 2003.
Our Mission
Since its establishment, our faculty aims to educate individuals with contemporary knowledge in economics, administrative and social sciences, who have acquired analytical thinking competencies, can specialize in at least one field, can apply their knowledge creatively and flexibly, and have strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
Milestones
Officially established on April 9, 2003, with Presidential approval and publication in the Official Gazette.
The first department of our faculty, Department of Economics, started education with 70 students.
Our second department, the Department of Business Administration, started accepting students.
The academic capacity of our faculty was expanded with the opening of the Department of International Relations.
With the opening of our fourth department, our faculty achieved its current structure.
