Faculty of Economics and
Administrative Sciences

Giresun University | Since 2003

The establishment process of Giresun University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences began with the decision of Karadeniz Technical University Senate, dated September 28, 2001, numbered 173. In accordance with this decision, the proposal to establish a Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in Giresun province was accepted by the Council of Higher Education General Assembly in April 2002.

OUR MISSION

Since its establishment, our Faculty has adopted the fundamental goal of training individuals who possess contemporary knowledge in economics, administrative and social sciences, have developed analytical thinking competencies, can specialize in at least one field, can apply their knowledge creatively and flexibly, and have high problem-solving and teamwork skills.

This proposal was finalized by the Council of Ministers decision dated March 26, 2003; it came into force on April 9, 2003 with the approval of the President and publication in the Official Gazette.

2003

Faculty Foundation

Officially established on April 9, 2003 with the Presidential approval and publication in the Official Gazette.

2005-06

Department of Economics

The Department of Economics, the first department of our Faculty, started education with 70 students.

2008-09

Department of Business Administration

The Department of Business Administration, our second department, began accepting students.

2011-12

Department of International Relations

The Department of International Relations was established, expanding the academic capacity of our Faculty.

2015-16

Department of Political Science and Public Administration

With the opening of our fourth department, our Faculty reached its current structure.
